In 2012, Mount Panorama will be the epicentre of one of the biggest celebrations in Australian sporting history. The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is without doubt the premier race in Australian motorsport and in 2012 the race will be celebrating its 50th year. For half a century cars have been navigating Skyline and Forrest’s Elbow as part of the Bathurst endurance race, whilst reaching exhilarating speeds down Conrod and Mountain Straight. Lap record after lap record has been broken as names like Moffat, Richards, Perkins, Skaife, Lowndes and Brock have all left their mark on The Great Race.
