Released by the Royal Australian Mint, the coin’s obverse features the new effigy of His Majesty, King Charles III sculpted by Daniel Thorne. The coin's reverse features the standard $2 design sculpted by Horst Hahne. The release of the coin celebrates the historic succession from Queen to King as a new monarch appears on Australian coins for the first time in 70 years. All rolls are guaranteed heads/tails, in Mint branded paper with tamper-proof sticker.
