Bravest of the Brave
The coin’s reverse depicts the Anzac soldiers as they battled to scale the cliffs above Anzac Cove. The design includes one soldier in colour in the foreground, the inscription ‘1915 – Bravest of the Brave’, a red poppy, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
Billies for the Troops
The coin’s reverse depicts a symbolic image of a woman in colour giving a billy tin to a First World War Australian soldier. The image on the tin is the Alexandra Club Christmas billy tin design which features a kangaroo on the Gallipoli peninsula. The design includes the inscription ‘1915 – Billies for the Troops’, a red poppy, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
Spirit of the Fallen
The coin’s reverse depicts a symbolic image of the Lone Pine tree as it was in 1915 on the left of the design, with soldiers walking through trenches filled with their fallen comrades. On the right of the design is the Lone Pine Memorial to the Missing in colour, as it appears today, with the spirits of fallen soldiers. The design includes the inscription ‘1915 – Spirit of the Fallen’, a red poppy, and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
