Paying homage to one of Australia’s key days of national commemoration, the 2014 $2 Remembrance Day Unc is Australia’s third full-colour $2 type. Its predecessors, the red poppy 2012 $2 Remembrance Day Unc and purple 2013 $2 Coronation Unc, have been among Australia’s most sought after coins in recent years, and this new release will be just as popular.
Highlighted by symbols of peace – a dove carrying an olive branch – surrounded by a motif inspired by the Australian Army Rising Sun Badge, the addition of bright green is a stroke of genius on the part of the RAM.
